Better data overall sends EURUSD back up to 1.1839

  • The IHS Markit Flash Germany Composite Output Index registered 57.6 in November, up from 56.6 in October and coming in just shy of September's six-and-a-half year high. The manufacturing sector continued to lead growth and recorded the strongest increase in production volumes since April 2011.
  • Business activity in the services economy meanwhile rose solidly and at a slightly faster rate than in October, though the gap in performance between the two sectors was the widest seen in over seven-and-a half years.
  • The IHS Markit Flash Germany Manufacturing PMI climbed to 62.5 in November, up from 60.6 in October and signalling the second-greatest improvement in business conditions since the survey began in April 1996.
