The services PMI (BNZ - BusinessNZ Performance of Services Index (PSI)) for October 2017
At 55.6 in October at its lowest since April of this year
Sub measures show
- new orders increased
- sales increased
- employment fell
BNZ comments:
- robust results given the prevailing uncertainty surrounding the election, coalition negotiations, and government formation over the period
And, citing in combination with the manufacturing PMI for October:
- a positive start for economic growth in the final quarter of the year
