Nasdaq 10 game winning streak threatened

The Nasdaq has been up for 10 straight sessions. A win today (i.e. positive close) would be the first times since 2009.

But so far, that winning streak is threatening to be broken today. The Nasdaq index is down about -18 points or -0.22% at 6371. The index moved above the June high at 6341.69 earlier this week and pushed to two successive record closes. That level will be eyed as close support on a further correction lower now.

The other US major indices are also lower.

The S&Pis down -6 points currently at 2467.24. That takes the price back below a broken trend line that cuts across at 2470.51. Staying below that level could solicit more selling technically. The 50 day MA is at 2426.51. Earlier this month that MA was tested but found support buyers. That led to the rally to new record highs.

The Dow (which has been down over the last few days) is lower by -83.84 points currently.
